Alokitogram (AG), which means "Enlightened Village", a private sector lead initiative has started its journey in 2006 to serve the rural communities through ICT based development endeavor. The key strategy of AG is 'serving local communities through profit and use ICT as the tool for development'. AG facilitate establishment of Rural ICT Centers (RIC) owned by local entrepreneur(s) as service delivery points in rural set up. RIC's offer diversified ICT based services including information and non-information based services. Main target customers of the RICs are farmers, youth, student and common people of locality. AG follows 'Franchisee Model' for expansion and encourages local entrepreneurs to invest in the centers, and centrally AG coordinate, support and monitor the services of RICs. With partnership of content development service provider, AG develops local contents to serve the communities efficiently. Services of AG offer wide range of ICT based service including business information service, education information, capacity building and ensure availability & accessibility to various social and citizen information.
