The members of the BTN will be those persons or organizations who believe in the importance of Telecentre as a new institution for rural Bangladesh for poverty alleviation and empowerment and desires to play an active role in making Mission 2011 successful, which is about establishment of ICT-based information system for the poor and vulnerable across the country by 2011, the 40th anniversary of Bangladesh’s Independence.

 

There are two types of membership: General membership and partner membership. General Membership is for organisations and individuals, who are direct stakeholders of Telecentre movement and are involved or want to be involved with telecentre movement with research, content development, operating telecentre(s) of any kind, playing an active role in capacity building, and sponsoring or financing. Partnership or Partner membership is for those individuals and organisations, who are not direct stakeholders of the Telecentre movement, but desire to take part in implementing the Mission 2011 through financing or supporting activities of the BTN.
