Lunching of Telecenter-in-a-Box

BTN partner Bangladesh Open Source Netowork (BdOSN) released a software package for telecetre named "Telecenter-in-a-Box". BdOSN lunched the primary version of software package at the National Telecetren Colloquium '08 organized by BTN on 7th November, 2008. This is the first initiative of BTN-BdOSN collaboration.

The Software package contains 2 CD. One disk for an open source Linux based operating system called Ubuntu 8.04 and another one for the add-on, other additional software packages for different applications like different codec, accounting software GNU Cash, VLC Player, Flash player, HTML editor and many more.

Including Office productivity tools OpenOffice.org, internet browser Firefox, instant manager Pidgin, graphics software GIMP a lots of applications are available in the Ubuntu CD. Users can get all the application on their computer with only a single installation. And also user can distribute the package as many as he wants.
