Yesterday all servers in the U.S. went out on strike in a bid to get more RAM and better CPUs. A spokes person said that the need for better RAM was due to some fool increasing the front-side bus speed. In future, buses will be told to slow down in residential motherboards.
The National Knowledge Sharing Workshop for the KICT4D Quick-Win Program, was held on 9th March, 2010 - Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The objective of the Workshop was to acknowledge the contribution of the grassroots telecentres & MSMEs, discuss the lessons learned from the 'Implementation of Rural MSMEs Services using ICT in Bangladesh' project, and to share its achievements with other community development organizations.

E-Module launching of business portals both in
Bangla and in English www.msme.bd.com. and www.byabsarkhobor.com in Jessore on February 2010 went in a befitting manner at DC's auditorium
attended by Khaledur Rahman Titu MP Jessore-3 as the chief guest. This time in
Jessore; GoUF one the member of Bangladesh Telecentre Network (BTN) organized
the District wise E Module Launching program of the project titled `the
Implementation of Rural MSME Services Using ICT in Bangladesh' with collaboration five
project implementing telecentre. This project is funded by Islamic Development
Bank (IDB). The ceremony was presided over by Zahid Hasan Tokon, Vice
President, Jessore Chamber of Commerce and were attended by Kamruzzaman Chunnu,
Mayor, Jessore Pourasava, Mr. Mohibul Hoq, Deputy Commissioner, Jessore as
special guests and Md. Shahid Uddin Akbar, Secretary General, Bangladesh Telecentre Network.
Deputy Commissioner, Jessore emphasized on taking pro farmer position by using
ICT. Mohammad Zakaria, Executive Director, GonoGobeshona O Unnayan Foundation
(GoUF), welcomed the guests and participants and briefly introduced the project
on e-business. The Chief Guest MP Jessore-3 observed that such business portal
could emerge as a milestone in achieving Digital Bangladesh. DC Jessore
emphasized on price gap between producers and consumers level and asked for
searching ICT ways of liberating the small producers and the poor urban
customers from the intermediaries by making strategic use of free flow of
information. He observed that such ICT centric empowerment of the majority
could trigger miracle in the economy and could smoothen achieving middle-income
country at a sooner time. Jessore Mayor congratulated the organizer GoUF &
BTN to undertake such future searching business tools and positively contribute
towards achieving Digital Bangladesh.www.msme.bd.com and www.byabsarkhobar.com were jointly presented by Mahasin Hawladar, Shahiduddin Akbar and Mohammad
Zakaria. Trainee entrepreneurs from different upazilas, who recently finished
training on application of computer technology in promoting their business,
under Jessore district participated in the workshop. They gave their inputs,
drawing from their practical experience. Mohammad Zakaria, Executive Director,
GoUF observed that transformation of microfinance into micro enterprise with
free flow of information between the rural small producers and the urban
consumers has the potential to revolutionize our rural economy. MP Khaledur
Rahman Titu emphasized that these two websites being inaugurated today will be
regarded as a milestone in our national journey towards digital Bangladesh
by 2021. Some of the trainee participants and the CSOs spoke on the occasion.

E Module Launched in Bogra

With the cooperation of Bogra Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI); Alokitogram, Kahaloo on behalf of Bangladesh Telecentre Network has organized the district wise E Module Launching Program in Bogra. At this occasion BCCI assured that they would give all kind of future support for the E Module services exposure for the MSMEs of Bogra. Project implementing five telecentres presented as co organizers. This launching Program was hold in Korotoa Conference hall on February 7, 2010.

A big team participating e-Bangladesh Telecentre Network to share its experience and opportunities of Bangladesh and the experience of the project title Implementation of rural MSMEs using ICT Services in Bangladesh. About 25 participants are joining from Bangladesh who are within the horizon of telecentre movement in Bangladesh. BTN team is consist of its members organization representatives and telecentre managers who actively played the role of implementer of the project.
The main objective of the delegates of Bangladesh to share its experielces to the global community, its learning and experiences, and to advocate the hosts of e-asia in Bangladesh on 2011. BTN is committed to build sustainable information and knowledge system for all under the Mission 2011.
